The case was initial adjourned in February 23, 2012 by a Lagos high court judge, Justice A.J Coker after Asa and her manager Janet Nwosu failed to appear in court. However, the 29 year old who was represented by Abraham & Co. stated that their client was indisposed but the defendant counsel, Yinka Muyiwa opposed the claim stating that she was in France performing.
On Nov 22, 2010, the pop star slammed a lawsuit against the the Loye Hamzat owned celebrity magazine after they published a mag portraying her as a homosexual but through its counsel, the organization stated that they have done no wrong as the story was culled from an online publication.
