Lagos state doctors have been on strike for a while now, precisely since April 24th. The doctors went on strike because their demands haven't been reached. The demands are as follows:
1. Increase in salary
2. Downward review of taxes amongst other things.
But the Lagos state has taken a very harsh step which was sacking up to 1000 striking medical doctors yesterday May 7th. Recruitment of doctors to replace the 1000 sacked ones has already begun.
