According to the information gathered, some unknown gunmen ambushed the VC and his police escort at the front of the school gate at Agbani, Nkanu West local government of Enugu State as he was returning to the school premises. However, we were told that three of the police escorts were seriously injured after they engaged them in a gun battle. After rendering the police escort helpless, the gunmen picked the VC's driver and orderly out of the car, jumped in and whisked away with the VC.
The VC's whereabout is still unknown as the kidnappers are yet to contact his family or school authority.
