Additional 512 female pilgrims deported from Saudi Arabia

This year's Hajj is looking annoyingly different from other Hajj events as another set of 512 female pilgrims were deported from Saudi Arabia last night. This is just barely few days after 171 females were deported from the host country.

Consequently, Nigeria has threatened not to participate in subsequent hajj in protest and hoping Saudi Arabia resolves the issue otherwise drastic actions would be applied by the Federal Government.

The 512 females were flown back to Aminu Kano International airport after been detained in Jeddah and Medina. This has therefore increased the number to 683 deported female pilgrims from Saudi Arabia.

However, the reason given  was because these females were not accompanied by approved male guardians and it happens to be against the laid down rules.
