G.I. Joe: Retaliation - Reason for the Delay


G.I. Joe is a movie directed by Jon M. Chu which stares familiar and popular blockbuster figures such as Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock as (Roadblock), Bruce Willis (Joe Colton), Channing Tatum (Capt. Duke Hauser), etc. Bulk of the storyline talks about how the G.I. Joe team was framed for crimes against the country and then terminated by the president eventually. However, this resulted into a face off between the surviving team members and Zartan, his accomplices and world leaders he has under his influence.

G.I. Joe is due to be released in the US on the 29th of March, 2013...coming soon to cinemas in Nigeria and across Africa

Now, the actual reason for the delay: The action sequel was shifted from its June 29, 2012 launch date to March 29, 2013 in order to give room for the conversion of the movie to 3D. The basic essence is so that ticket price can maximize foreign box office revenue and make the film more profitable.

Well, in other people's opinion, this isn't the real reason. What ever be the reason, we patiently waiting to see what this sequel dubbed "Retaliation" has installed.
