CAF Suspends Officiating Referee of Ghana vs Burkina Faso Match

CAF has suspended the officiating referee of the game between Ghana and Burkina after a controversial performance in last Wednesday semi final clash.

CAF Secretary General, Hicham el Amrani, stated that CAF is not happy with the standard of refereeing in the match and had to ask Tunisian referee Slim Jdidi to step aside.

Part of the issues raised were the red card issued to Burkinabe striker, Jonathan Pitroipa for simulation even though Ghana's John Boye appeared to make contact with him and the soft spot kick awarded to Ghana's John Boye.
