Photogist: Gambia's New President Appoints A Woman As Vice President

The new president of the Gambia Adama Barrow has appointed a woman as his vice president. She is Ajaratou Fatoumata Tambajang, a prominent pro-democracy activist who was part of the opposition coalition that unseated former president Yahya Jammeh. She is a mother of eight, born on October 22, 1949 and was also part of the ministers in government during the rule of Yahya Jammeh. She was the minister of health, socila welfare and women's affairs.
